Building the conditions for better decisions.

DesignOps and UX strategy for organizations working through complexity: growing team capability and making accessibility, clarity, and maintainability part of product decisions.

My role
Director of Design Operations & UX Strategy
Scope
Team capability, accessibility & complex digital services
Period
2025–present

Complex digital services sit within layers of organizational policy, legacy infrastructure, accessibility requirements, and stakeholder governance. A usable interface must also be maintainable within those conditions.

Design teams need a practical understanding of their capabilities and growth needs to respond well to that complexity.

I lead DesignOps and UX strategy, working across product design, accessibility governance, and AI-ready transformation from Valencia.

My current work includes research, testing, and application of Pavel’s Team Capability Engine methodology, delivered as a consulting service for design organizations.

The practice brings together capability diagnostics, mentorship pathways, and team development. It considers the organizational conditions around a product alongside the needs of the people using it.

Experience in institutional and civic-oriented digital environments informs attention to information architecture, transparency, accessibility, and operational constraints.

01

Make capability visible

Teams need a shared basis for development decisions.

Research, test, and apply capability diagnostics and mentorship pathways using the Team Capability Engine methodology by Pavel / Designer of Thought.

02

Include accessibility in product governance

Complex services need to support people with different interaction needs.

Treat accessibility and clear information architecture as ongoing design parameters across the work.

03

Connect the interface to its operating context

Policy, infrastructure, and governance affect what a team can maintain.

Work across disciplines to align the user experience with the system and organizational constraints around it.

The practice develops through research, testing, and application of methods in design organizations. The focus is useful diagnostics and support for team development.

Pavel · Designer of Thought

A capable team needs more than standards. It needs a way to see where it is, decide what matters next, and support people as the practice evolves.
