About

From craft to systems.

I’m Olya Androsik, a product design and research leader. Fifteen years across consumer commerce, mobile products, regulated healthcare, enterprise SaaS, fintech and AI-enabled products — the common thread is making complex systems understandable and teams more capable.

I have owned consumer product surfaces where the decisions are measured. At The Home Depot I owned accounts, cart and checkout, led the one-page checkout design and gave Save for Later a place in the cart so a considered purchase could survive the session.

At Arrive I led six UX resources through an end-to-end redesign of the consumer parking experience — desktop, mobile web and native apps — including the integrations that brought partner parking inventory into the booking journey (October 2017 – September 2018).

NAVICA at Abbott put consumer and enterprise users inside one service: patients, testing staff, verifiers and administrators. My work connected those audiences through a shared service blueprint rather than five separate interfaces.

Research is only useful when it moves a specific choice. For Sephora × JCPenney, in-store customer interviews established the gap, and comparing two flows showed that combining rewards and account access raised sign-in/up interaction from 12% to 46% — which is why the experience moved into checkout.

At One Technologies I ran research, testing and redesign of iOS and Android consumer-credit products, reported at +32% mobile engagement. The JCPenney iOS rewards work reported 11% greater enrollment and 15.84% greater account linking; those are separate initiatives from the flow-comparison rates above.

In clinical work, observation mattered more than opinion: gloves and face shields changed what an authentication pattern could reasonably ask of a clinician.

At Abbott I led up to 22 designers across six time zones and stewarded a shared design system across 15 country sites, reducing design and development debt by 30%. I also worked as Abbott’s enterprise tooling subject-matter expert with Adobe XD’s product team in 2018–2019, shaping functionality for Abbott’s enterprise rollout.

At Wayfair I built the DesignOps Office from zero for a 160+ person design organization — hiring, onboarding, education, research operations, governance and 40+ practice guides — followed by internal B2B product work.

Today, at UX Design Lab, I am Director of Design Operations & UX Strategy, working remotely from Valencia across EU and US time zones. My current practice includes research, testing and application of the Team Capability Engine methodology by Pavel (Designer of Thought), so career growth and mentorship decisions rest on evidence rather than impression.
